WE HELP NATURE...

The local chapter of the Czech Union for Nature Conservation (CSOP) ONYX was founded in 2007. The mission of the organization is nature and landscape protection and environmental education.

CSOP Onyx members have many years of practical experience in managing and implementing projects in the field of nature and landscape protection, sustainable development and environmental education and awareness, as well as with LIFE programs.

The following projects are currently being implemented:

• LIFE24-NAT-CZ 101216157 Model care for forest habitats and species associated with forest habitats and trees, 2025-2032

• LIFE18 NAT / CZ / 000832 Protection of priority grassland habitats in the SCIs of the South Moravian Region, 2019-2025

• LIFE17 NAT / SK / 000589 Conservation of subpannonic dry grassland habitats and species, 2018-2025

Our members also participated in the following already completed projects:

• LIFE16 NAT / CZ / 000001 Optimalization of Natura 2000 sites management delivery in the South Bohemia Region and the territory of South Slovakia, 2017-2024

• LIFE14 CAP / CZ / 000001 ProLIFE Capacity Building, 2015-2018

• LIFE08 INF / CZ / 000443 Unified information and communication system for nature conservation in NUTS II Moravia-Silesia, 2010-2014 (awarded as the best LIFE project 2014)

• LIFE06 NAT / CZ / 000121 Preservation of alluvial forest habitats in the Morávka river basin, 2007-2010 (awarded as the best LIFE project 2011 and received the national ENERGY GLOBE Award 2010)
